There is another reason Målby exists, and it’s a rather important one. Look around the tech landscape, and an awful lot of digital infrastructure is tethered to overseas monoliths. If a major overseas cloud provider hiccups, or if some distant corporate headquarters decides to rewrite their terms of service on a whim, millions of European users suddenly find themselves out in the cold.
We find that mildly terrifying, utterly unnecessary, and frankly, a bit rubbish.
